We were optimistic about this hotel, as it was listed in the Rough Guide. Wed become accustomed to difficulty finding someone who speaks English at any number of establishments, but they usually went out of their way to translate. At Moon Inn, however, the service was not very helpful. It was difficult, even with our printed reservation, to check in. The woman at the front desk tried to charge us double what our reservation price was.
It was very loud at night due to people in the courtyard. We had to ask management via phone translator to ask the others to be quiet. The rooms were not very clean. There was no way to get fresh air into the room, other than to leave the main door wide open. The room was carpeted, which left a musky smell and wet feeling to the touch.
I would suggest staying in a hotel outside of the old quarters, as most of them are very old and of the same quality. The old town is easily accessed from several main roads. [2019-03-30 04:28]
